Step one: Complete your application online at "Register Now"
If you have not completed your volunteer application, please do so today. We are already organizing teams. The software will not allow us to assign you to a team until you have completed this step.
Please email the following to the Volunteer Coordinator:

-Name of your child whose team you are coaching or assistant coaching
-Division (example U8) and if you are coaching boys or girls
-Name of your assistant coach or coach (if applicable). If you don't have one, we'll help find one for you.
-Name of team parent (if applicable) If you don't have one, we'll help find one for you.
Step Two: Online portion of the training can be completed at (click to the right): AYSO online training
You will need your AYSO Volunteer ID# to enter the online training site. It is located on the top of your volunteer application that you completed in eayso.org. You can log back into "Register Now" to get the ID # if you need to.
If you get stuck, simply ring 800-872-2976 and ask for the computer help desk. They can walk you through the process and help you with your AYSO ID#.
Courses to take:
-AYSO CDC Concussion Awareness (45-60 minute online training course)
-Course MT02 - AYSO's Save Haven (60-70 minute online training course)
These can be taken before or after you in person training.
Step Three: Sign up for coach training course online. This is the training that will we be in person.

-Plug in the Roster number of course you would like to sign up for (see below)
U6 coaches: Roster # 201603833 (Sign up for this course only if you are training in person)
U8 coaches: Roster #201603834. We prefer you take the U6 training as well ( Roster # 201603833)but at a minimum just the U8. (take only if you are attending training in person)
U10 Coaches: Roster #201603835 (take only if you are attending training in person)

-Under state: input AZ
-Leave city blank
-Under Area: put A
-Under Section: input 12
-Start Date: Plug in today's date
-Scroll thru selections on look for Oro Valley classes
-Click on class that you with to take and it enrolls you
The chart below includes both Coach and Referee in person training classes.
This step is important because we will need to sign in after you have completed you training and authorize your certifications.
Step Four: Basic Coaching Clinic - 8/13/16 - for U6, U8, U10, and U12 coaches
Location: Riverfront Park (551 W Lambert Ln.)
U6 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM

We may finish earlier for the U-10 and U-12 Field sessions. If you are signing up for U10, you must have both the Course and the Field session. If you can not show up in the morning, please take the Online U-10 course, and show up around 11:30 to take the U-10 Field session. You need the Field and classroom/online session in order to coach U-10 (If you coached U-10 last year, you are still good to coach U-10 this year).
Please bring a lawn chair, and water. For U-10 and 12, wear comfortable cloths and shoes, and I also recommend sunscreen and/or a hat. We will be out in the sun for 1-3 hours.
U-10 and U-12 I'll have some pizza delivered as well as some Egees. If you don't want that, please BRING your own Lunch.
We are discussing adding additional coach training days on August 27th and/or Sept. 3rd.
I can't make the training, now what?
Additional coach training is available online if you can't make the in person training. We prefer you take the in person training. Online courses are under an hour.

U6 Coaches: Course C002 - U-6 Coach (30-40 minutes course)
U8 Coaches: Course C002 - U-6 Coach (30-40 minutes course) and Course C003 - U-8 Coach (20-30 minute course)
U10 Coaches: Course C004 - U10Coach (30-40 minutes course), the rest of training must be taken in person.
U6 and U8 Coaches:
For U6 or U8: If you can't make the in person coach training session, at a minimum we need you to complete the online training at aysotraining.org. We prefer to train you face to face vs. the online training if you are available to attend the training session. See Step Three to sign up for the course.
U10 and up Coaches:
For U10 and up: if you can't make the in person coach training session, we need you to take the online training and you MUST show up to take the in person field training at 11:30, August 13th to complete your certification. Please then go to Step Three to sign up for in person training or online training. After you have attended the in person training, we are then able to input your certifications online.
Note: We prefer to train you in person. However, iIf you can not make the training session tomorrow, there is an online session available. Courses are under an hour.

Intermediate Coaching Clinic - TBD - for U14 coaches
Please visit eAYSO to register prior to the clinic.
This course gives the certification to coach at U14.
Prior completion of the U-12 Coaching Course is required.
Advanced Coaching Clinic - TBD - for U16 and U19 coaches
Please visit eAYSO to register prior to the clinic.
This course gives the certification to coach at U16/U19.
Prior completion of the Intermediate Coaching Course is required.
